Dr. Bwire is a distinguished leadership and management professional with over 20 years’ of extensive experience across private, public, and academia. His multifaceted career encompasses roles as a trainer, coach, board development and evaluation, researcher, business development specialist, and seasoned banker focusing on fund management, credit, and microfinance. 

Dr. Bwire has made significant contributions to the field through numerous papers and articles presented at international conferences and published in reputable peer-reviewed journals.  He has also consulted widely on top management teams, corporate strategy and governance, organizational structure and. performance.

In his recent roles, Dr. Bwire served as the CEO – Holistic Sustainability Solutions, East Africa. He also served as a Governing Council Member and Chairman of Finance, Planning, and Development at Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU). 

He previously held the position of Chairman of the Audit, Governance, Risk Assurance, and Compliance Committee at KAFU. His leadership experience extends to serving as the Chairman, Board of Directors for Oasis Specialist Hospital Ltd, and as a member of several governing committees at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM), including the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee (Chairman); Finance, Planning & General Purposes Committee; and Sealing & Statutes Committee. Additionally, he was a Non-Executive Director for Technical University of Mombasa Enterprises Ltd (TUMEL).

Dr. Bwire holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi (UoN), as well as a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Egerton University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics Major) from the UoN. His academic prowess is complemented by his expertise in drafting grant proposals, having successfully secured the prestigious National Research Fund grant for his doctoral research. He is also certified in Project Management DPro (Project Management for Development Professionals – through PM4NGOs).

A dedicated member of the academic and professional community, Dr. Bwire is affiliated with several esteemed organizations, including the Academy of Management (AOM – Strategic Management and Management Consulting Divisions) New York, USA; Africa Academy of Management (AFAM); Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Kenya Chapter; Institute of Corporate Governance of Kenya (ICGK); and Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK).
